Manchester’s leading spray foam insulation contractor, working with HBS spray foams.
Spray foam insulation is a two-part liquid mix, spray applied insulation that expands up to 100x its applied depth, it is a modern day alternative to PIR insulation boards or roll out fibre materials, both BBA & KIWA approved, spray foam insulation is suitable for an array of projects, whether it be a loft conversion, new build properties or for a retro fit project, spray foam insulation can be used as underfloor insulation, roof insulation and in some applications as wall insulation.
Although some people have still not heard about spray foam insulation, it’s not a new thing. HBS foams were first developed in Canada in 1986 and have been used in hundreds of thousands of projects across the globe.
One of the main benefits of spray foam insulation, is its air sealing ability, offering airtightness and thermal resistance in one application, it is a superb product to get into those hard-to-reach areas and stop unwanted air leaks or infiltration of cold air from the outside of a building envelope.
There are two types of spray foam available, open and closed cell, open cell is soft, flexible and breathable, closed cell is a hard, dense material and can be considered a vapour retarder they both have their own individual uses.
Why use Green Horizon's Spray Foam Insulation?
We will always discuss your requirements in detail and advise the most suitable type of spray foam for your project. Spray foam insulation is designed to last the life of the building, without degrading over time, giving consistent energy savings year on year.
Air leakage from a property is one of the biggest factors in the energy performance of any particular property, air sealing a property will deliver greater energy savings over time. Using an open cell foam on a property will reduce the risk of condensation forming, allowing materials in contact to continue to breathe naturally.
