Serving in Manchester
Manchester often gets crowned the most liveable city in the UK, and as one of the country’s oldest and most productive cities, it is responsible for the birth of the Industrial Revolution, the production of the first modern computer, built by Tom Kilburn and Freddie Williams, and is home to some of the most iconic musical talent to come out of Great Britain in the last few decades.
Greater Manchester is home to approximately 2 million people across the borough, and some 1.2millions households, many of them dating back to the 1900s. Built to last, these houses have stood the test of time, but one thing they are not is energy efficient. Even some of the more modern builds have been the victim of substandard or hazardous insulation materials, meaning that they too are inefficient when it comes to energy ratings.
